Revup? If not JWT S1's, if you have a Revup do S7's...

Curious - Why isn't the stock Y-pipe out of the loop yet? Isn't that creating the biggest restriction in flow?

^^+1. Why not complete the higher air flow by getting a JIC y-pipe? I would do that before opening up the internals of the engine (that's a lot of work).

+1. you have test pipes going into the stock y-pipe and a great flowing exhaust after that? that'll def restrict flow. remove the bottleneck in the stock y-pipe and get the JIC Y-pipe.

you should see some gains by switching that out.

Yeah...get the jic y or the tanabe...those are the two best flowing designs in my opinion. Then get some headers, might as well go strup b/c they are decently priced and not hard to install (compared to the all mighty Crawfords). Or you could be adventurous and get the Xerd long tubes that are for sale local to us. After you do that, then get the JWT S1's. Obviously you are going to want to get tuned, utec is probably the best bet after that. You will need to look into a diff clutch also, and some gears. That should be a pretty decent setup...should get you in the high 280whp range. <---hahahahaha, sad but true.

CRAWFORD are the best headers you can buy, but they are a beeyotch to install. I have seriously thought about driving to Tenn to get them to install them.

Headers? Crawford long tube & Nismo R-Tune are pretty decent. Expensive.

I like my nismo ones--just as expensive as the crawfords, but an easier install. I recommend getting them coated from jethot

I was wondering if S1's were really good. I haven't researched very much but if i ended up going the N/A route really hardcore i would have some crazy heads built and i would run a huge cam, i am talking about something in the 280's or 290's if possible, the S1 seems mild.

I though that wasnt good to do 2.5 into 3.5 into 3? The first 2.5 is what bothers me. Besides im na why would I need that much pipe.

Well oursmall motors don't need a huge exhaust till you get a turbo or two under there. I would say that 2.5 off the test pipes is definately the only way, bigger is a waste, you exh is only going to be as large as the smallest diameter. And when the 2.5's merge at the y, 3 inch is plenty from there back.

The SFR y-pipe looks like a good design, it has a pretty smooth merge.
