Default Nismo Mid-pipe - Anyone removed the resonator?

I have the Nismo with HFC's currently and am looking to open up the sound a bit. I was thinking of removing the resonator from the mid-pipe and running a straight mid-pipe. Think this would make a noticeable difference?

All you're going to do is create a bit more higher pitched sound. It might create rasp so I wouldn't do it if I were you.
