Default Headers. Are they worth it?

Ok i have been getting different advice from people about headers for the 350Z. I would like to know if they are worth getting put on and if they will increase the horsepower? Anybody here put some on and did it make a difference? If so any recommendations?

yes. definitly worth the money. the sound alone is worth it.

if you are planning on upgrading the rest of your exhaust system later on then you will be glad you did the headers as well..

for hp gains though i would go with test pipes or highflow cats first, then exhaust, then headers...

For install simplicity, I would do Headers and TP/HFC at once.

From what I've read, it's worth it if you don't plan on going FI and if spending a thousand bucks isn't a big deal to you. The gains are minimal, but they are still gains.

To me they are worth it and they'll be my next mod.

Agree. If you are going to spend hours under the car, may as well do it once.

If you are interested in performance, check the times here: https://my350z.com/forum/drag/233840-top-25-1-4-mile-times-for-tt-st-supercharger-nitrous-bolt-ons-stock.html. Duplicate the driver’s mods. This is not brain surgery.

The only question you need to ask yourself is : Do I plan on going Turbo sometime down the road.If you answer yes then save the money and put it towards your F.I. If your plan is to go super charger or stay N.A. then headers make a nice mod. Look into Crawfords headers for a start.

I do have the vortech supercharger with the 3.1 pulley. Just put that on. I have ordered the Utec ecu. Just waiting for it to arrive. I have the vibrant exhaust system also.

Also, do not tune until you have decided on which parts you want. Just wait until you have all your power/breathing mods set, and then go get tuned, this includes the new pulley you have coming. Otherwise, any part you add after the tune will affect the tune.
