Ah yes, it was you. Yeah Borla said they only offer straight pipes and u-bend pipes, all stainless, and that they have no idea what this guy is using. This was a response from Borla sales:

Thank you for contacting BORLA PERFORMANCE. Unfortunately we would not know what exact part he bought. The only pipes we have to offer you will be our universal tubing under our universal page.

who cares. Borla pipes and regular pipes are the exact same thing. just worry about getting the borla muffler.

well seems to be that the kid bought the cat-back exhaust and not the true dual. THEN changed some parts? sounds expensive to buy it then buy more, but u never know what he was trying.

he couldve bought the cat-back exhaust, then wanted to change it later on, and did so.

i think there's a video of an s2k like this where they sped up the sound. it sounds sick as hell. just like an f1 car, but from what i heard, they sped up the sound to make it sound like that.

I totally forgot about this thread. What's the scoops? Im thinking about just forgetting the whole custom piping set-up, and leaving my borla muffler replacement on and just getting HFC's.

Well, Phenforum, what's the haps? Its been a long time since the last time you replied. Did you get the right muffler? Installed with custom set-up? There's a few people who want to try it if you got good reviews.

Well, I was gonna get high flow cats today, but the guy couldn't do it because the way the stock cat is designed, you need one that's specifically made for the Z. I wanted to have something done today, so I got a 2.5" piping done from the y-pipe back to the Borla XS muffler and it was only a $100 and 20min of wait. You know the crazy screaming exhaust sound? Just from the y-pipe back custom Borla exhaust, I got the same sound but softer. If I added some high flow cats, Im pretty sure I could get close to it. Im loving it so far.

Sorry I let you guys down on this project. I was really discouraged after I found out that the guy who made the videos sped them up to make it sound like it revved higher. Then after I was sent the wrong XS muffler (transverse instead of regular) I said **** it and decided to wait and go FI with Forged.

But I'm still interested to hear how yours turns out. Can you possibly post a video on youtube? I'm glad it was quick and affordable for you. Enjoy!
