Hell, spray paint it black. Thats what I would do.

How will this treu dual exhaust with an h-pipe affect the aero under the car. Guess we wont know till we see a pic.

Who cares if they are polished or not? It's not like anyone can see them. This is no 4 cylinder guys, the headers are not that visible. I can only understand the need for stainless in those climates where rust is an issue; here in Texas, rust is definitively not an issue.

If polishing the headers isn't something you care to do, I would probably just get the them Jet-Hot coated. That will go a long way to reducing underhood temps plus they look good. I agree that since the muffler is visible from behind, it should have something done to it if the finish isn't visually appealing. Time will tell once we get some pics.

Sorry, but rust is definetly an issue in parts of Texas. I grew up in South Texas on the coast and if you had half a brain you only took the beater near the beach and then you always had to wash it off after to reduce your chances of rust.

So in recap, North Texas need not worry about Rust, coastal Texas yes.

Now why did I spend this much time explaining this....I have no idea! Just ignore me.

What about powdercoating it? How would that hold up? I have a connection for that.

You are right, you can't see the headers or manifolds in these cars. I've looked at Doug's headers from the top, and you really have to work to see them.

Default Will these bolt up to Stillen Exhaust?

If so, I'm in. What I don't get is why are these things $1500 or so cheaper than anything else I've read about for the Z?

Production numbers. Borla makes so many systems for so many cars that their raw material cost is much lower than someone who caters to a specific market. Plus they have state of the art facilities that can produce their systems quicker and easier than those without. Also they are an American company and do not have to pay import export fees which equate to lower pricing to the consumer.

In the domestic car market, borla exhausts are of the most expensive.

Borla emailed me the installation instructions for the Exhaust and Headers. MS Exchange here at work quarantined one of the files somewhere but, I have the Header installation available if someone can host it for me. It is a 34MB Word document.

That's probably the price for the dual exhaust, not the true dual exhaust.

Anyone know the difference in performance?

Nope, that is the true dual exhaust. Look at the part numbers.

Why would Summit only sell one header for a V6 when all V6s need two?

Its kinda like buying high speakers. they are priced per unit even though you need at least two.
