Now that is a price I'd be willing to pay for headers!

Is it going to be hard to install headers on the 350Z?

I had my car on a lift recently. After installing headers on a BMW M Roadster, and downpipes on an Audi S4, the Z is cake!!

Depends on their design...could be anywhere from minimal (0-3HP) up to maybe 15-20HP. Crawford's are seeing about 16HP peak gain.

That is a really low price for headers

I wonder if they are STAINLESS headers. That would be an awasome price if it is.. even if it only gain 1hp

The thing about it, is it will probably move the power curve different than stock. Maybe it will have more low / mid end torque, and if combined with their exhaust, it will be gain all rpm range.

I have never seen a Borla product that wasn't stainless steel. Also, I would hope that you guys know to mod your car in order to provide max gains in the same area. If you are looking for high rpm power then choose upgrades that will give those gains. Mixing low rpm this and high rpm that only leads to mediocre performance across the rpm band. Just like you can't get ripped and build mass at the same time EFFECTIVELY, you cannot build an RPM range that way either.

once you guys get it installed...could you guyz dynoed (sp) it and post it here. Borla had the z stock at 211hp??? with exhaust 235hp.

people are dynoing around 230 range bone stock. if borla's claim of 20+ hp is legit....we should be seeing around 250+...right?

Man haven't you learned by now, all dynos are different. The DynoJet might dyno a bit lower than other dynos, so yeah it's the difference that counts, not the #

his question still stands. it isn't an issue of the dyno being calibrated differently...not if Borla is saying the Z has 211hp. +-5 maybe, 20...I don't think so.

Is borla fudging something? Please say it ain't so. I want this thing to be real SOOOOOooO badly.

The car they are using is an auto so 211 is not unreasonable. That is a 25% drive train loss- a little high but like others said all dynos are different

Waiting on borla exhaust dyno with a 6MT not auto. For some reason the auto's have shown gains where the MT's have shown losses on certain exhaust systems. Anyone know why?

point taken (yes i knew that)....but still 211hp???

what im speculating is that if ppl are getting 230hp range after mod...then the exhaust may have few to zero gain in hp....that's why i want ppl to post their own dynos.

Even if it were a 15hp gain I am going to buy it. So long as it is even across the power band and looks similar to the stock system, I'm all for Borla. I like their sound more than anyone else's.

Hey all,
I just found out that the Borla system is not polished. Since the muffler is clearly visible from the rear of the car, why wouldn't they offer a polished muffler. Don't get me wrong first and foremost I am all for the power, weight, and quality of the system but the stock system is black so it is less conspicuous. A stainless system is much more visible from the rear. Can anyone clarify if this is accurate?

I spoke to Borla and they are going to email me the installation instruction with pics. Hopefully I'll get them soon. As for them not being polished, I would think that they would be fairly easily to polish yourself with a polishing wheel and some polishing compound. Plus, if you don't own the tools, it gives you a reason to buy new ones! Plus, you can add another skill to your resume, polishing guru
