The MREV2 fits exactly like stock because its a modified stock lower plenum.
So using a spacer with it will be exactly like what you have now.

Both fit no problem.

1.7 turns on the tensioner bolt.
+/- a small amount for fine tuning the bar heigth between the plenum and hood.

Its described in detail in the installation manual.

And yes, I can certaintly understand this. But its the design of the stock lower REVUP plenum that mandates it. It just doesn't respond to upper plenum mods like the non-REVUP engine does.

Its a completely different design.

BUT on the other hand, when you install the MREV2 and spacer on a REVUP, it will make more gains than any other bolt on short of nitrous or FI.

well the thing is that in order to line up the strut bar with the wholes, i had loosen it alot till the screws slide easily but i didn't keet track of how many turns i did to loosen the strut bar. so if i do 1.7 turns its not going to be tight at all. so how do i know if its tight enough

Its 1.7 turns after the bar is set in, with the brackets bolted down and with the bar in a relaxed position. (Regardless of where it was at previously.)

you have the NON-revup. which means dont get the MREV2. order the 5/16 iso-thermal plenum. problem solved and international relations all better again

Hydrazine, I'm interested in the 1/2 inch Plenum Spacer with the MREV2. I know the 1/2 inch spacer will NOT have allowance for the stock strut bar as well as enclosure of the hood. But what if I used either APS strut bar or the Stillen strut bar? Will it fit then? I figured it would since those strut bars are configured to be fitted lower towards the end of the hood and away from the top of the plenum itself.

Yes, it will work with the APS strut bar.

I know it fits, but otherwise I've never used a APS strut bar so I can't comment on its quality or function.

Many others on this board could answer this for you.

I'm a little confused...what is the difference between a Plenum and a Spacer kit?

I have an 06 5AT Z and I want an aftermarket plenum. Is this what I should be looking at? Even though it says 03-05.

http://www.thezstore.com/page/TZS/PROD/LNP02/11-3097

Edit: I think I've got it. ATs have different lower plenums than Rev-ups, giving them more torque. So all we ATs need is a spacer kit, as opposed to a plenum assembly because ours is already good enough. Correct?

That's it. Just get a spacer and you're done with the intake section.

After that you could get an exhaust. Then cats or preferably test pipes.

If you do all that you will have some good gains.

The next thing to do would be a ECU reflash or some kind of engine management.
