I'd like to upgrade my exhaust to have a little but more sound to it but nothing too loud. what would be the next step up from stock as far as noise is concerned. I still wanna hear my music while im on the freeway if you know what i mean.
Borla has a nice tone with stock cats/headers. Not too loud, just a little bit mroe aggressive/deeper pitch. If your looking for something close to stock, then Borla is your route.
^ +1 on that...other than that a Fujitsubo would be quiet as well
Only below 4k. At WOT or above 4k its not quiet at all. Basically at idle, it sounds no louder than stock exhaust. The higher RPM you go, the louder it gets. I've took off from the stop sign about near my house before, and my buddy down the street behind the woods can hear it well, and distinctly - enough that he knows its a Z, and mine at that.

Yup! I have the fujitsubo stainless system with JIC y-pipe (and pop charger up front) and once the car warms up it sounds awesome. As you get into the higher RPM's it really opens up and sounds like a monster, but it's all good sounds and no crappy rasp or drone.
