Default K&N drop in or stock filter?

Ive been reading about the k&n filter having problems on the Z. The oil goes to the oxygen senser and causes a malfunction? No gains in hp after a couple of hundred miles? The stock filter is a redish orange color. But at courtesyparts its yellow. Is this the same filter?

been having the k&n filter for awhile now. No problems with the oils.. i dunno how that happened.. but the car does feel a bit more responsive.
