Default Just installed header, idle speed is high

I just installed Strup header. The idle speed at startup and at normal temp is about 1000 higher than before. Is this normal? BTW, I have CAI, MD 5/16" spacer, and catback.

ECU Resetting Procedures

Timing is extremely critical. If it is NOT DONE within the specify time, the ECU will not reset and the Check Engine Light (CEL) will continue to remain ON.
A stop watch or an analog clock with a second’s needle will be useful.

Operations Procedures

1. Confirm that accelerator pedal is fully released, turn ignition switch “ON” and wait 3 seconds.
2. Repeat the following steps (2a and 2b) procedures quickly five times within 5 seconds.
2a. Fully depress the accelerator pedal (HARD).
2b. Fully release the accelerator pedal.
3. Wait 7 seconds, fully depress the accelerator pedal and keep it for approx. 10 seconds until the CEL starts blinking.
4. Fully release the accelerator pedal (while the CEL is still blinking)
5. Wait about 10 second.
6. Fully depress the accelerator pedal and keep it for more than 10 seconds.
7. Fully release the accelerator pedal (The CEL light will continue to blink).
8. Turn ignition switch to “OFF” position and now you can start the car. The CEL light should be gone.

do it that way.

Just unplug the battery and hit the brake. It'll drain power. Wait 2 minutes and it'll reset. Thats the hard reset. The above method is the software reset.

Is that cold idle speed, or after driving it around for a while? When I start my car in the morning, it idles at like 1200 until the engine warms up, gradually it gets down to 750 or so.

Both cold and warm idle speed are higher than before. Warm idle is now at 900, before was around 750 too.

I tried the soft ECU reset. My timing must have been off, could not get it to reset after many tries. Finally disconnected the battery. Will see what happens tomorroe.

I re-connected the battery today. The idle is higher than yesterday at around 1000! Enough fuss with it. Will take it to the dealer.

Dealer reset the ECU in 30 min. Idle speed down to the normal 650. Strup gives a deeper sound. Much quicker acceleration on highway.
