Default Strup Headers / Top Speed Headers Questions...

Alright guys i've spent the last 4 hours running forum by forum and i've come up with the following information..... strup headers are decent headers that will show a moderate if any type of gain but so are the top speed headers. However one of these if not both of them have some trouble in installation due to the linkage on the driver's side....

My question is: I found the top speed headers on courtesycarparts.com for 319.00 but then ebay has the strup headers for 399.99. Which would any of you recommend???? I'd prefer personal experience more than anything so why not as those who have installed and tested these two. Thanks for you help.....

I will tell you that we have had a problem with Strups. They were hitting the steering linkage and actually broke because the metal was so thin.

This may have been an isolated instance, but the customer had them only a couple weeks.

I just had the Strup installed last week clear off the steering linkage. The only problem was the idle speed was higher. The dealer reset the ECU so the idle speed is normal now. The Strup does give a little deeper sound which I liked.

I think the problem with the steering linkage is on Rev-up motors. No problems with my Topspeed.

My strup problem with the linkage was on an '04. It appears to be hit or miss with the strups. However, if you do have an issue, they will fix it ASAP and they are very easy to work with.

i've heard good things about both companies. The problems associated with the headers are definatly true, but unlikely to be wide spread. Either choice takes a chance of a faulty header, but more than likely things will work out good. As far as HP gains with headers, i wouldn't expect too much up top on any set, they provide decent mid range HP gains though.
