Default Speed Force Racing Exhaust

Hey Guys, I have had this exhaust for about a year and half and never posted pics. It is from Tim at SFR and it is a dual 3inch with HKS TI tip mufflers. All I can say is it is loud and mean. I have it teamed up with APS 2.5 Test Pipes off my greddy downpipes. Now for the pics.

Thanks!!

Ryan

looks good man, but 3" duals? That's a size usually saved for FI applications and whatnot. Do you have any sound clips/vids?

nice, hope yours isnt like mine. Ive only had it for about a year and already the rivets are coming out of the tips and the freakin things are about to fall off, one of the welds on the right hanger broke off and left a massive hole in the pipe (not the muffler hanger but the one directly before it.), and during install the driver side was too short and the welds busted there and a piece of anodized aluminum had to be welded in place to extend it all because the nearest place that I know of that does SS exhaust work is about 5 hours away. SO, all in all, I like my exhaust, but I dont care much for the quality. I wish I would have waited and got the HKS Hi-power like I really wanted, but I was impatient. Now everone and there mother has it in stock. Anyway, I digress. This is your thread, and about your exhaust, and it still looks awsome. I think those older HKS mufflers sound spec-freakin-tacular. congrats!

Wow sorry to hear about that. I have had mine for almost 2 years and really no problems. The install was a bit tricky getting everything to line up and match side to side, but your gonna have that with any kit. I found the Borla exhaust to be the worst to line up and make look good. Have you talked the SFR about the issues? They might be able to work with you on it.

We redesigned the system about 3-4 months ago.Now it uses three bolt flanges instead of slip fits which makes the install a piece of cake.

About the tips....that is wierd.I have had mine for over two years and lots of miles and the tips are on their good. Actually, I have never seen the tips come loose on any HKS mufflers.Well if you still have the exhaust and need those tips fixed,we would be willing to do it for you.We take pride in our work and had we known about this,we would have fixed it for you right away. This is the first time I have ever heard any kind of issue with the exhaust system.

I could take some pics of it all. Well the reason I didnt say anything was that I know you guys take pride in your work and I didnt want to go around flaming you or anything. I am the only one that has had any problem with it, so it seemed like a freak occurance, you guys got the thing to me crazy fast, everyone I talked to was SUPER nice. I had you put an H pipe in it as well, and considering my car is all the way down here in BFE I somewhat expected fitment issues. I just figured that I would get it taken care of eventually. The HKS tips coming off is completely not your fault. And anyway, short of taking mine back off, boxing it up and shipping it to you. I dont know what else to do. I called altered atmosphere (since they are the closest place to me) and I may make the 6 hour drive up there next thursday or so and see if they can fix it back new. I really dont want to though. Thats really the only thing I can think of doing unless you have a better idea. Also, I just noticed the rivets coming off 2 days ago when I was detailing my car, and the hole just occured probably last week or so.

I guess the two main reasons I didnt call or say anything is:
1. I live completely on the other side of the united states and didnt think you could do anything about it anyway.
2. I have been hassled by companies so much in the past, that returning things or complaining about it doesnt...even...really enter my mind now.

So I wasnt trying to flame your company in my previous post, I know mine was a freak occurance. You guys still do great work and I really appreciate the attitude that you have taken in this thread. If I had known it would be this easy and pleasant, I would have dropped you a line after install.

SORRY not meaning to hijack your thread dude.
