He's an 06 5AT (287). Shouldn't be normal 06 oil consumption.
Who did the last few oil changes?

I didnt think they made the 287 after what the 2005.5? I might be wrong. I would imagine though since its an 06 it has the 300hp rev up motor, and some of those have an oil consumption issue.

What kind of spacer? Plenum spacer? And what could that possibly have to do with oil consumption?

03-06 5AT were all non-revup 287 Motors.

the oil consumption problem are on 06 rev-ups... not all of them have this problem, just a handful.... i too have an 06 rev-up, and i notice my car having the oil consumption at 3000miles.." first oil change"... bone stock... after letting nissan know about the problem.. i still went ahead and had a pop charger, jwt cams, motordyne m-rev2 and plenum spacer, dc headers installed.. nissan agreed that none of the above would cause the oil burning... they believe it has to do with the seals not properly being lubricated at the break in period.... your motor should be under warranty.. and nissan will replace it... cause they did for me....

I have MD's Mrev2 + 5/16th spacer on a rev-up. I just checked this morning... 2k miles since last oil change, no oil burning. Mrev2 + spacer's been on the car for at least 5k miles.
