Underneath the car where you lift back the splash guard to access the filter, in the corner, has anyone cut away that portion of the splash guard to allow more air flow to the filter???

 

I haven't done that and wouldn't think of doing that simply due to the fact that more debris will contaminate the filter, causing one to have to clean the filter all too often.

Beyond that, I'm not sure exactly how much more power it will allow for.
