that is what happens when you add heat to metal.

Well I was being sarcastic, the point I wanted to get across is that if you're paying 1200 for an exhaust and that happens to the pipes, wouldn't it just be better to go for the knock off and save the extra cash for something else. I mean for being HKS the exhaust liked like a POS for lack of a better phrase. I bought the HKS clone and saved 800 dollars, and after a couple of months the pipes will look the same.

No, your pipes will be rusty, while the HKS would not be

Call me crazy but I actually like the contrast between the stainless steel and "yellow rusty color". Kinda gives it that legit race car look.

I wish HKS brought these pipes back. I love how it looks...maybe it had something to do with patent infringement in Japan with another tuning brand?

What some would describe as "yellow", I would describe as "golden", Some parts of my Amuse R1 titanium exhaust (the parts that are not gradated), have turned slightly "golden". This is entirely normal and expected.

As other members have stated, that is what happens with heat and metal.

Lot to learn? Well just go with aluminum pipe, and save you the hassel of seeing your name brand pipe still turning all yellow. Stainless steel is stainless steel, HKS, knockoff, Chinese. As a matter a fact all the stainless probably comes form China..World largest exporter of stainless steel.

its not always material, its also about design which replicas never do 100%.

plz dont start a rota/ebay/turbonator vs parts that actually work thread.....
that jdm hks exhaust is too nice for you to be talking in the same thread as its pictures.

Your weld might crack due to poor craftmanship but not the HKS.
Your muffler might blown but not the HKS.
It's not only because of the material.
