piping size
3" regardless, definatly for all motor I would go smaller than that. As far as F/I it depends on the setup you want to run, If you are going with twins I recommend a dual 3" And for a single turbo, I recommend a single 3"

On the HR teardown thread, they used a Greddy EvoTT dual exhaust with 2.75inch piping, and I heard no mention of Low end powerloss. I'm thinking the common belief that 2.5inchs is big enough is wrong.
A dual 2 1/2" and a single 3" should flow and perform the same, if the designs and components are similar is effect. The pipe size overall is equivalent.
If your going FI - turbo especially - you'd likely want 3" - though 2 1/2" will work - it all depends on boost and power goals.

And Actually, as Shop here tested a dual 2.75 Inch pipes on a N/A Z and Made nice Numbers, and lost nothing down low.
Usually, the bigger the pipe, the better, I say Dual 2.5+ or go home.
