Great choice... and your vids and pics are some of the best quality I've seen around here.
Tanabe may not be cheap, but it is probably the best when it comes to quality.

Agreed, the Tanabe Y-pipe was so nice looking and well built I wish there was some way I could show it off.

Well the Medalion Touring is rated at 93db and the Hyper Medalion is rated at 95db, which I guess is a big difference. An increase of 3db is double the volume.

Also, like the previous poster said, the Touring has the double walled resonated tips, while the Hyper has single wall tips.

I think this one fits the bill nicely! I purchased both the y-pipe back exhaust, and the Tanabe y-pipe. I haven't yet installed the y-pipe though as the ramps I used to install the exhaust didn't give me enough room up front to access the y-pipe. I'll probably get to it in the next few weeks.
Install was straight forward and fitment is perfect. Quality appears to be top notch. One common problem with the stock exhaust is that the tips aren't level. The right tip usually sits higher than the left. I've also heard some other non-true dual exhaust have the same issue. No problem here with the Tanabe. Both tips are equal height and they both stick out the same amount. Sound is very satisfying. During cruise the exhaust isn't really any louder than stock, with the exception being around 2000 RPM when dipping into the gas a bit in the higher gears...there's a bit of deep resonance that is noticeable, but not objectionable. When getting on the gas the sound is just what I was looking for. Deep, smooth, and exotic sounding. Somewhat similar to the stock exhaust tone, but more aggressive. I really couldn't be happier.
So here's some pics and vids for you to decide for yourself!
