kinetix ssv...is there hope?

so i know majority of us hate the ssv, due to its price and that it tends to do nothing, and even lose power. i searched and came across this thread however. they seem to support it for running a direct port setup, and the fact that they got about 25+whp out of it.
most run it on an n/a motor and lose power, but how does it do on an f/i motor? its nowhere near the kinetix claims, but it seems somewhat decent gains. click that link!

now, that was on a built tt motor, how about a st setup?? maybe the spacer is just an overall better solution, but maybe theres hope for the ssv

some shop owners like jeremy at performance factory don't seem to notice any difference at all with different intake manifolds/plenums with FI. That he gets power one way or another.
That said, I'm happy with my SSV. I don't think it's hindered me that much. Sam at GT Motorsports said he didn't think it'd matter much if I switched it when I asked him what he thought
