Good deal. Sounds damn close to mine. Even cleaner sounding i think, and i have HFCs. I would like to hear it with the RPMs up a little a bit. Nice job setting something up for test pipe guys who can't stand rasp.

Thanks! just opening up possible options for the borla guys out there w/ non-resonated test pipes.

I know it does not sound like it, but I took it a bit past 6k in the vid.

I'd like to see a pic of this installed. Does it have to be welded in?

Some quick horrible shots. I will try to get some better one within a day or two. I need to change my oil so I will post some pics then.

Fixed.

I'm curious too. I've heard that welding the stock h-pipe will eliminate the hissing sound on decel, so it would probably fix that, but I doubt it would eliminate any rasp if that is what you thinking.

thanks for fixing the post!

well my concern is to get a balance of the sound and performance. so i just want to know how much difference will the x-pipe and the x-muffler have for performance.

The Stillen uses a non-resonated X pipe like the 1st pic. I don't think #2 would work as the pipes point out. The 3rd isn't really a X pipe at all.

If you are running stock manifolds and cats. I would not invest into this. Just weld up the h-pipe and the rest of the exhaust. That should solve any noise issues.

Just a guess but I would think an X pipe would benefit a dual exhaust regardless of the manifolds and cats used?

On an actual TD yes(ex:hks, greddy). The borla is not in this case. I could be wrong. I guess thats why I never found any info on this. I just went for it.

If I install the x pipe muffler would I have to remove the resonators that sit between the muffler and H pipe, or should I leave those on?

If you want, you can. I didn't, I was to nervous of it changing the note of the exhaust. I know people have had them removed, but were completely stock and were trying to amplify its sound. They are reported postive, I just never heard any clips.

So what is the part number to this x-pipe? Also is this a true x-pipe or is it a muffler?
