Default Injen SES Dual Exhaust: Resonated Test Pipes or Regular TP's?

For those injen SES guys running TP or High Flow cats, which ones are you using.

I really would like to run high flows or resonated TPs in the future. I am somewhat considering scraping my injen because I don't want to have my Z to loud. Its very strict in Northern Va.

And for the non-ses guys: does anyone have an exhaust setup that sounds awesome, won't get me pulled over at low to moderate RPMs.

I have heard good things about the Fujitsubo Legals & Y-pipe, and then I was thinking about some megan resonated TP's. I almost hate to give up the look of the true dual though.

from a rasp stand point, putting any type of test pipe in my opinion wil put your rasp meter up in the red. I would stick with some sort of HFC, or just keep stock cats untill you can afford something that will help a somewhat already raspy exhaust. Just my .02

Its may be inconvenient, but install the exhaust first. Once you become accustomed to the noise level, then consider test pipes.

So, crusing around, it was so bad you couldn't even hear the person next to you! You can't be serious.

I am not a fan of the Injen with test pipes. I think it's actually louder in the lower RPM's where there is a ton of drone and rasp. I'd stick with high flow cats, but if you want test pipes make sure they are resonated.

Have you checked this out yet?

https://my350z.com/forum/intake-exhaust/198935-dual-exhaust-test-pipe-rasp-proven-fix.html

This guy did a custom x-pipe on his injen w/testpipes. It took his rasp away. Its a good read.

Finally got the SES on and it sounds great, no TPs or HFCs yet, but its not that loud of an exhaust IMHO. I just feel like if I go any louder I am def gonna get hit with exhaust tickets.

would this muffler work in place of the resonators instead of the magnaflow? The magnalfow isnt a x-pipe correct? Just a muffler in place of the resonators. I was thinking of trying and using this muffler in place of the resonators.
