Didn't put on the finishers yet. Wanted to wait to make sure the exhaust "settled" into place with the hangers.
No need, though. System fits perfect. Beautiful install. Piece of cake. Should have bought this long time ago...

Besides, I wanted to wait for sunlight today so I can get some better pictures...

You'll be happy you didn't cheap out on the knockoff route when your HKS lasts as long as your car. :-)

just finished reading this rediculous thread in attempt to research what exhaust i will buy for my Z...so i thought i'd put in my NOOB insight from a simple, logical, non-biased perspective.

Indeed, HKS is a well known, proven manufacturer of a quality product. Good looks and good gains. For the most part it sounds decent, but does contain some rasp at WOT and can be quite pricey. Also it has shown to have some quality issues.

On the other hand, the X02 seems to make similar gains in power, sounds decent (didn't hear any rasp), costs far less than any other full system, and has not shown to have any quality issues. Though, it's been said to have "thinner walls," which potentiates a problem, but no reported issues as of yet. perhaps this is due to less systems in use, but i cannot account for the number of people who have these systems vs. those who have the HKS system.

therefore, from someone that was newly presented to the issue of HKS vs X02, coming in with a non-biased opinion...i do have to say that the logical option would be to buy the X02 (no proven faults except for being a "knock-off"). Again, I'm sure HKS is a great product, and I'm still debating on whether to get it, but from the facts presented it's just not the superior option.

Also, gothchick you sound like fu**ing 16yr old dumb** with no skills of presenting an argument. the only true thing you said was that in most cases an X pipe is superior in performance and efficiency than an H pipe....which no one was arguing against. you did not present any facts that appointed the X02 as an inferior product to the HKS, which it is expected to be based on price. the X02 has nothing to lose and HKS everything....and with you're rediculous, non-educated responses, you completely lost the argument.

i know this is an old thread but just had to comment.

thanx, -Anthony

Some people say HKS is expansive..

well I got mine for 1270 shipped Aug 2006...

and if you want that X02 than get it. it;s cheaper

but I like my HKS.

i totally agree that the HKS is a quality product. just saying that it hasn't been shown to be better that the X02, which should be significantly "crappier" based on price.

Hey NewZ84. I'm in the same boat as you. I've been back and forth between the HKS and X02 also. If you end up getting the X02 anytime soon i'd def like to check it out see how it looks and sounds.

i was going to get the HKS.

but i realized paying 13-1400 for an exhaust is kinda high priced. cuz i wouldnt keep the hks when id go turbo anywayz.

so im gettin the xo2 for now. as long as the piping is strong, nice looks, nice sound, and true dual. im gettin it.
who ever gives crap about an xo2 exhaust is retarded. ppl actually have that topspeed exhaust on their Z's. feel bad for them.
