Default Jacking up the car

For exhaust install.

what about jacking the car up? a buddy of mine has rino ramps but it doesnt raise the car enough...

Would it be safe to put the front two tires on the ramps and then use two jacks in the back? Also i didnt know if we jack the back tires will the front ones move if the car is in gear and E-brake pulled?

or does anyone have any tips for garage lifting?

Thanks

I certainly wouldn't think that using two jacks would be safe, especially if you don't transfer the load to jack stands. I prefer doing work myself, but I would just pay someone to install the exhaust if I were you. That is better than the possibility of being crushed by your car.

If you work under the car while it's only supported by jacks, you are asking for an early death.

Use safety stands.

Think about it... just because you can bench press 180 lbs doesn't mean you can hold 180 lbs over your head for 2 hours.

yeah, this is serious . someone died not too long ago at the drag strip, because he was being too manly and didn't have time for jack stands.

I think he may have been a friend or acquaintance of Ed718 on the forums.

i was just sitting here thinking of how awful it would be to see that happen or have it happen to you...being crushed by a car. it's like a nightmare.

Jackstands FTMFW. I wouldn't want a 3,300 pound car slipping and falling on me while wrenching underneath it. And with my car being lowered as well, I'd really be in trouble. If you don't have jack stands, just put *something* under the wheels. A block of wood, another tire(s), etc.... Don't be a tool.

First of all I don't see why you'd make a smartass comment about a suicide.

I was reflecting on how fragile life is, whether you're taking your own life or it's an accident due to your own negligence, one minute you're here and the next you're gone.
