Lightbulb Same Combo?

Performance wise...I am running the NISMO CAI, NISMO Cat-Back and a MD 5/16th spacer. My '06 is staying N/A...so, I am now (after much research which was quite interesting) leaning towards the NISMO Headers.

Two questions really...

1) Can anyone provide some input in how this would impact sound intensity? I have found a few similar set-ups here on the forum generally but these were all plus/minus other components making it difficult for an accurate read.

2) Best HFCs with this combination? Clearly there is no specific response. Just wondering what other drivers are running in the above for a DD Z for a little more "emphuh" in the response. Perhpahs they aren't needed at all.

The local shop I use to get all my Z work completed has quoted a great price and I want to take advantage of this and the soaring Canadian $.

Thanks for the review...

I have nismo headers (bb). There is def an increase in sound induction. Only worth it imo if u run HFCs/tps as well. I have power enterprise mettalic cats mated to my nismo headers and am very pleased eighths set up. I've heard good things about fi metallic cats as well.

I'd recommend getting the nismo headers jet hot coated as this will reduce temps and prevent cracking.

Default Hey...

thanks for the quick response. Perhaps running the NISMO headers and Crawford cats would work. Not 100% sure on the Jet-Hot as I am outside the US. Guess I'll give them a call...

Many run the crawfordz as well. Jet hot has three us locations I believe. Def check their website for info on their coatings and turnaround time-well worth it imo.

I would say before headers you should get an MREV2 lower collector to make real gains with that spacer you have

If you really want to make NA gains the cosworth manifold may prove to make much more power than those headers....plus its an easy bolt-on that could be taken off later and sold if you go back to stock to sell

Oh and OSIRIS for your tuning....youll need it to make power with your mods and even stock....it will improve your power/mpg under WOT.....my 06 runs pig rich!

Many Z owners run the Crawford Cats with the Nismo combo.

Hey mike,

I was running BERK HFC's and i could not have been more pleased when combined with my Nismo exhaust.
Quality is great, I would highly recommend.

And as another mentioned, get the MREV2.

I will be getting DC SS headers for next season, as well as looking into purchasing either osiris or cobb for tuning.

Church...thanks for the response. Now I can't decided between these HFCs and Crawford. Bit of a price difference between the two. As well, did you go with show or standard finish on your Berks? Doesn't really matter I suppose, just curious.

Any other opinions on the Nismo headers? On the fence whether or not I really need to get them coated....
