Whattup, i dont know if this is the right place to post this but can someone tell me what a plenum spacer is and what it does? Thanks.

As Confuscious say: "It is what it does"

The VQ engines have more air going to the front of the plenum. The spacer is designed to offset this inequity by raising the rear portion of the plenum. If you look at the spacer straight ahead you will see that it looks like a wedge; the front is lower that the rear. When installed it will give more volume to the rear portion of the plenum. This is supposed to increase power (with more volume). It was good for 20+ hp when I went F/I.

do they make any that you can keep the strut bar with it installed? i know most don't allow the use of the bar after you put it on

The spacer fits under the stock strut bar pretty easily.

I think people have been pretty nice to you so far, I was kinda suprised. Do a search on plenum spacers and you will find out all of the things you asked instead of wasting server space. It might even answer questions you haven't thought of yet

My AAM spacer gave me 7hp at the wheels with no F/I...
