Exhaust note didn't change much on mine, but the sound was already heavily modified from your stock exhaust sound. Engine growl and deep throaty exhaust was already present.

It keeps the plenum substantially cooler, as far as the ISO gasket itself, probably doesn't do much but the TB bypass valve works wonders.
