Default Test pipes.. how long & how much?

hmm

I got a pair of Test pipes that Iam about to install.. and I read a thread here on DYI.. it loooks pretty streight foward and all.

The thing is that I dont have time do it my self, and the weather here in NY has been pretty bad.. snow, cold ect. I dont have a garage either so..

I went to my local shop and they said about 2 hrs..90/hr = 180$
another shop charges $80/hr

Not to mention nissann told me $400 they thought I was an idiot i just walked away.

------

How long Does it take to install TEST PIPES? and how much have u guys been paying labor for em?

thnx a bunch

I did my HFC's in a 1 Hour and 1/2 with a lift. I could did it in a shorter time by I was stuck trying to figure out how to undo the top nut on the driver's side. I had to call Function:TUNED, and they told me get alot of extension, and get it
from the engine bay (Duh). Also TQ'ing everything down took awhile also.

By yourself it should take between 60-90 minutes tops. Mine went quicker with two people.

I hope those test pipes are resonated.

yeah dude. do it yourself. test pipes is a pretty straightforward install...shouldnt take longer then an hour and a half. youll get it done in no time, and be thankful you didnt spend the money to get some shop to do the easy work!!

Its super easy with a good breaker bar and extensions to get to some of the bolts thru the engine bay.

Just keep your fingers & hands warm. It's a PITA to work on something like this with frozen fingers.

you can definately do it man, the 4 bolts that connect up to the Y pipe take 5 mins to take off. The 6 that connect from the header are a little more difficult. Just get a 12'' extension and a universal and you will be fine.
