Nismo Intake - VQ35DE - As short ram intake able?

A girlfriend of mine has a used nismo intake for her 03. She doesnt really want it setup as a CAI, does the Nismo intake have the ability to be setup as a short ram?

im not positive if it does, but if your looking to sell it and buy a new one JWT pop charger is shortram, and it sounds great

just take off the longer pipe that extends downward and clamp on the filter.

If you're going to do it make sure you add a heat shield, or you're just going to be sucking in hot air.
