Borla True Dual Installed! Review inside. Video to follow!
Well, after much extensive research on the forum and Youtube (Search tool is your friend, folks), I settled on a Borla True Dual as I saw it netted some of the best gains, it retained a fantastic sound that was close to stock, but just a little deeper. I was able to find a used one go up in the marketplace, and I wasted no time jumping on it.
It's now been installed, and I have to say I love superb the fitment is. Nothing shakes or rattles or hangs. It's sitting very tight in the undercarriage - almost as if it's designed for OEM use. Brilliant craftsmanship by Borla.
The car starts up so beautiful now. There's no excessive burl or whirring, the air flows so smoothly, and yet the start-up growl is more defined, honed and deeper. I honestly believe that this could've been an OEM exhaust - it just sounds and sits perfect. When under load/driving, the exhaust does not drone - not even the least bit. It makes a beautiful and deep noise between 1500-2000 RPMs, and everything past that it's just flat-out attitude.
When people say it's close to stock, just deeper and throatier, it really is. It's practically perfect. Under normal driving conditions, you will not wake up your neighbors, not unless your open her up. There is no cabin drone, or any other type of annoying resonance that will eat away at your ears when you're on the highway or driving though the town. The tone is exceptionally refined. And you will never, ever, get into any cop trouble with this exhaust too.
How it feels.
When I buy a product, I expect gains. I didn't want to just buy something for the sound, I had to back it up with performance. Well, what I noticed immediately was the low-end became much better. Where as I always felt restricted with the low-end of the car stock, this is just a night and day difference.
You know how the Z gets much faster when it passes 4000RPM and the VIAS opens up? You can always feel that sudden surge of power, because the transition is so obvious between the low-end HP and high-end HP. The Borla smoothens that out considerably, and then some. Now with the low-end and mid-range improved, the car will run to redline with much more strength and speed. The needle doesn't struggle the least bit below 4000RPMs - it's all so streamlined and more effortless, now.
This is a really, really amazing exhaust. I wasn't expecting such noticeable gains - I had actually thought I'd see mostly high-end than low-end power, but I was given quite a kick in the low-end. There are vendors selling this bad boy for just $995 - free shipping. It is worth it! I bought mine used for $550 and all I had to do was polish it up.
Intense has the cheapest price on the True Dual that I've seen, and free shipping.

I will post videos and clips of the exhaust hopefully sometime tomorrow. It's extremely cold in NY right now. Hopefully guys who are on the fence find this useful. I highly recommend this exhaust.

I took a vid, but it was too cold outside to really let the exhaust shout. Still, it gives you a decent idea of what to expect. I won't be uploading it to YouTube, simply because it'll compress the **** out of it. Or perhaps I'll record a better clip tomorrow.

Glad you like it. You are not alone, but you are also not in the majority. There have been more negative posts on this system than positive ones. I have never seen anyone praise an exhaust like you just did. One would think you discovered the fountain of youth. All I can say to those looking for an exhaust system is, search for yourself. An exhaust selection is very subjective, and all elevated claims of power gains and fitment need to be taken with a grain of salt. As you can see however, some are very happy with it.
