Question Motordyne MREV2 and 5/16" spacer

Hey what's up everyone? I have been doing some reasearch on mods and I felt that the MREV2 and 5/16" spacer mod for my hi-rev motor would be a good place to start off. I have done some research and I have been unable to answer my own question on this. For my Hi-Rev motor, I know that it is optimal to have both the Motordyne MREV2 AND the 5/16" spacer, but after installation is a tune necessecary? And if so what all exactly needs to take place. I just ask because I'm pretty new to this and I hate asking questions if I can find it out on my own but I have read and read and haven't been able to answer that. Thanks for your help! Later...

I'd wait until you have a few more mods before retuning.

UTEC + Dyno tune = $1,200 give or take.
Reflash = $600 give or take.

Cool thanks, that's pretty much what I needed to know. Just whether or not it will be a necessity or not. Anyone have any opinions about their experiences with this mod?

I've got MREV2 + 5/16 spacer. Good bang for the buck. Test pipes are another good bang for the buck.

Yeah I was looking into getting a full true dual exhaust also though, that's one thing I definitely need to research more. Intake, exhaust, coilovers, camber kits (if and when they're necessary), tint and... wheels/tires. That's pretty much what I want to do first. In what order I'm not sure aside from the wheels/tires last.

When you start thinking of a tune, I would suggest (my personal preference) is to get something that can be adjusted on the fly, like a UTEC. Reflashes require the ecu to be pulled, and in a lot of cases mailed in for a guestimate tune each time you want a tune. An adjustable ECU/ piggyback like UTEC is infinitely more flexable. Haltec is even better than UTEC as it is a full standalone, but almost triple the price.
