Default Undecided about Borla TD or Invidia N1 please help.

hey fellas i have on the Borla TD right now and have some Helix TP's now my thing is the bumble bees on acceleration and decceleration are driving me crazy i love the new tune on the car but the rasps are killing me, i know the invidia n1 still has some rasp and i know that exhaust is loud and sounds completely different but i want to know from others that have it, is the sound bareable? and does it rasp alot w/ tp's on ? i already tried looking online for sound clips but hard to find and wont state if tp's are on or not. also i love the fact they look much more aggressive then borla ones.

P.S. i already read up on x-pipe for Borla TD's and the magnaflow muffled x-pipe is good but tones down the sound way too much for my liking if anyone knew if standard ole'x-pipe would fix rasp or anything else let me know, thanks ahead of time.?

looking for both although performance is a priority but a nice sounding exhaust w/ best gains is ideal. what do you have in mind?.

Isn’t there an exhaust forum for exhaust threads?

I have the Borla. .got it off a customer of mine plus the test pipes. .for 500..so i wasnt going to say no. .he only had it on for 1 week. .then traded it in for an EVO. . .truthfully i love the borla and it's sound and i love the hiss when letting it off the gas. .i dont mind the xtra noise. .it sounds close enough to stock so i can keep it a sleeper still yet sounds amazing when i kick it down. .so im happy with it. .although other's opinions vary. .but i have it in combo with my other mods . . .read em. .

sorry bout that davidv i know theres tons and tons of threads detailing borla and such and i've gone over them yet there are very litle threads on the invidia n1, thing is my friend took off the invidia n1 to put in the turbo so the exhaust he has it just there and his hooking it up with free swap. Im really asking on everyones personal opinions as well as pros and cons to both exhausts, i also dont want to sit home for a day swapping exhausts if u know what i mean , just some feedback to help me pick best...thanks fellas...looking for both performance and sound...although like i said performance is 1st priority.

My borla has increased in volume and deepness since I first had my x-pipe installed. Alot of people really like the sound especially all my domestic buddies. They cant believe that sound comes from a six-cylinder. I do have headers though.

Borla TD is awesome. What you need are resonated test pipes, not a new exhaust.

well i did know resonated test pipes definately cut the rasp but also performance wise although not by much, one thing though lol i received the test pipes for free so you can't really beat that lol. Not sure if im willing to cough up money for resonated ones, from alot of reading and researching alot of people have always gone with the borla what i still can't find are gain comparisons between the borla td and the invidia n1, anyone give me a hand please.

^^
The difference in performance between the two exhausts will be left unnoticed by the driver. I don't see the point to your speculation. Even if the Invidia does make a slight hp increase over the Borla, does that mean that you would purchase the Invidia even though it may sound horrid?

My advice, get an exhaust that you prefer the sound of. The gains from different exhausts are minimum at most.

Weren't some people losing HP with the Borla TD? It might depend on setup, but I'm pretty sure I've read on the forums that this was the case. Are you stuck on these two exhausts only? I've heard great reviews on the HKS.

I had both. I'll take the invidia over it. borla was ugly from the rear. The invidia is kinda ricey looking for today's standards but sounded a lot better.
