Default *Soundclip* Nismo exhaust/JWT clutch/flywheel

Some of you newbies have been PMing me about my exhaust. Just thought i would post a quick clip. I'm just revving to 5-5 1/2 RPM. It sounds better if it went further but not trying to get my car too hot.

i'm about to go to the drags. After watching Alberto's video, i have been trying different shifting techniques to see if I can run a good time. Wish me luck.

Nismo exhaust
JWT flywheel

The revs sound much faster in person though. The camera couldn't seem to get it well.

btw, thanks to AROUNDMYHORN. great guy.

Are you on stock cats? Any other mods? It's just misleading since some of the nismo vids sound stock and boring, but some sound so beautiful that it makes me want the nismo all over again. Picking an exhaust has to be one of the most annoying decisions I've had for a while.

what is great about the nismo exhaust is that it only amplifies and improves the sound that we originally feel in love with

I was listening to clips on youtube. I think the topspeed exhaust still sounds very much VQ. Great clip, not sure who's http://youtube.com/watch?v=X49F5XHNg3k

I've been that route and the sucking sounds isn't worth heat soak and loss of low end torque and throttle response.

exactly how i feel as well. That's why i love the nismo.

Not really. I have been through plenty of exhausts. I have gone through borla, topspeed, invidia , and now nismo. The topspeed sounded REALLY loud but more of just every other average muffler sound. It sounded mean at WOT but daily driving, sounded weird. Borla lost every bit of the VQ sound so that had to go, invidia sounded pretty nice but droned like no other and just looked too ricey for me. The nismo looks very classy, sounds VERY good, and nice brand. It just has an exotic bark to it. Can't explain it. I'll make flyby videos later today.

You got no Rasp what so ever? What kind of Test pipes are you running? I'm just wondering cause i got Nismo Exhaust an Turbo XS Test pipes, i do have headers too but i got a nasty sounding rasp at 2500.

Yea, idk how much the topspeed is but I've read that its one of the loudest which I'm not really into. I love the sound of the nismo. Wish it was cheaper though.

He has the Kinitex resonated test pipes. There is another member (DIMERYDER) with the same setup and sounds very nice too.

I like this setup. I think it sounds perfect.

^^
Have you heard DIMERYDER's car? He has nismo headers, Kinitex resonated test pipes, and nismo exhaust. His car is the best I've heard. Sounds similar, if not exactly, like SuperBlack350z's car.

About the HFC, I wouldn't expect rasp. However, I cannot tell you that it will sound like the one above. Your guess is as good as mine.

Superblack, your car sounds very nice.

As for the JWT Flywheel... I was trying to listen for this "grinding" sound that people complain about. Every once in a while I heard a little grinding like someone was sliding their foot on gravel. Was this on gravel? Or was this the flywheel? The JWT Flywheel/Clutch combo is most likely the one I'll be getting.

Sounds nice. I also have the NISMO Exhaust, and the NISMO Headers, NISMO CAI. I like the sound too. Not too loud, but can be heard easily from a distance at a nice growl. Good job! I'll be puting in the JWT Clutch in a short while, haven't decided on the flywheel yet, but have both in my garage. Don't know how much of a rattle noise at idle it will make. But need the clutch, since putting in the vortech s/c

NICE!! I cannot wait to install my exhaust with my plenum spacer. I also have the JWT clutch and Flywheel. Nice setup and has held up well. I have about 40k with it on and 20k was boosted around 380hp

Actually, at the moment and in the video, i'm running the Fast Intentions resonated test pipes. I had the Kinitex but droned way too much for me. The kinetix was too loud in general.

I heard Dimeryder's car too, it sounds good with his new headers set up. He said the headers quiet his exhaust down.

Thanks for the compliment. This set up doesn't rasp one bit at any RPM. It actually throws some flames when i rev high and running WOT down teh road. I will need a tune.

Thanks man. No gravel in teh movie. My flywheel was installed correctly and it isn't any louder than my stock set up. I hear some people's set up as well, but mine doesn't make any kind of noises like that. As for my video,if you heard anything weird, it was probably the highway right behind where i was filming.

My car also revs a lot faster in person. The camera doesn't seem to catch the speed of the exhaust well. Maybe the camera was too close to the car or something, not sure. I'll try to get more videos up.

Thanks. I was thinking of getting the Nismo headers myself. Not sure yet because i'm going F/I sooner or later.

Thanks. I would think you had all of that since you were turbo and stuff. I really do like my JWT set up though. It's been good so far.

That's awesome! That's the exact setup I was going for! I didn't think anybody had the Fast Intentions resonated test pipes mated with the Nismo exhaust. I was wondering what it would sound like. I've heard Megan resonated test pipes on the Nismo, and to be honest, it sounded totally different than yours.

Thanks for the sound clip!

yeah, i've heard megan rtp on the nismo, they don't sound good at all. Very high pitched, borderline to raspy. not all resonated test pipes sound the same.

reason why i went with Fast intentions is Nismo cracks most test pipes. It's very common on Kinetix. Dimeryder had problems with this as well. Thanks.
