Any test pipes that cost more then 150 shipped to the door is exploiting the fact.Well person can afford 30 thousand doller car, can afford to pay X amount for this or that.

arguing the cost of performance parts is pointless.

everyone has different experiences and budgets, no one is exactly like you.

Considering buying these myself. I'd do my own install since I have the tools and the place to do it....and seriously, it's just exhaust pipes. It's not that hard and I have a good size breaker bar

I want to go with non-resonated since they will perform most optimally. Any change in pipe diameter will slow down the gas velocity and technically hurt performance. Anyways.....my only concern was the sound. I did not want to install these and end up with a terrible sounding exhaust. From the looks of things, it sounds good. I think I am sold.

Lastly, to all the people that bash eBay, seriously, it's all about value. There's plenty of good quality parts on eBay. A lot of these exhausts are replicas of the name brands that are much cheaper to buy since the replicator did not pay for R&D to initially produce the item. Be smart and shop carefully. Spending $300 on a piece of bend pipe is insane. That doesn't make sense to me.

Last question to OP:

How does the finish look inside? Are the pipes smooth? Did you P&P the entry points or was that not necessary?

@Ziggyrama, the pipes are pretty smooth inside, to me they look like every other exhaust I've ever owned on previous cars, looked mostly like an Apexi catback on my s13 back in the day.

Didn't p&p anything, my mechanic basically said the way they look there was just no point.

and yes I'd recommend getting the ebay-foulers since it did through a code after about a thousand miles...now it just runs great...

next i'm gana grab a replica xo2...

Those welds in the pictures look stout. I doubt he will have any issues with those pipes.

I've bought ebay parts for some of my other cars, and they've always worked just as well as others... in fact I bought a high flow cat for my wrx and it lasted longer than my turboxs one which I still have sitting in my garage...

i have ebay resonated test pipes on my car. "edge racing" is stamped on it with a plate. Had them on for almost 9 months now, no cracks, no issues. just because it's not NAME BRAND doesn;t mean it's bad. Works just fine for me!

you got taken, this is half an hours labor for a good mechanic. $170 for test pipe install. I paid $70 because I was lazy and should have done it myself.
