hmmm i heard good things about Ultimate Racing cats, but not sure. I think i'm leaning towards the Berks, but i re-read my post, i forgot to add the question mark lol. question is will the ceramics be that diff than the metallics? they're about 100 different, but don't want to try to save a few bucks and sacrifice anything. Also, has anyone paired their HFC (any brand) with the HKS exhaust? thats the set up i think ill end up with, but my problem is i love the exotic sound, but hate "rice" sound. i know there is a fine line between em lol so just asking for anyone's experiences. thank!

I recently had the Kinetix HFC & HKS exhaust installed on my Z and I have to say I love the sound. It is nice and loud when I step on it, a little raspy, but at normal speeds it sounds awesome. I got both installed at the same time so not too sure how each one sounds, but together sounds great. If you ever come by Houston you're welcome to stop by and take a listen!!

I went to carboys, have been pretty happy with their work and I am actually comfortable leaving my car with them. They charged me about $160 to install the cats and exhaust and about $20 for a plug on the cats and some misc bolts since everything was used. So far so good, only had the car for 5 days since they've worked on it and no complaints...

Crawford/fast intentions are considered best quality by many people...also random technology is supposed to be good, but last I heard they have some problems and are expensive

some mid grades are berk/ur/kenetix- lot of people have said UR don't rasp as much, not sure if that's true

I have crawfords on my stock exhaust...sounds like stock but louder, to me it's PERFECT

I had nismo for a while with same cats, and it's REALLY nice too...a little loud for my tastes...again crawford, no raspiness

I hear with crawford and other cats with the horizontal stabilizers that you don't want to attach them at that point, as it causes cracking --someone correct me if i'm wrong

hope that helps

edit: oh yeah, also metallic/ceramic power gains are neglible on N/A setup...metallic last longer, definitely recommended for FI setup

I'm rocking the Kinetix HFC and loving it! I switched to Titek Test Pipes, didn't like it and went back to the Kinetix, I.M.O Kinetix or Fast Intentions all the way!!!!

Excellent to hear. Yesterday I ordered my exhaust and cats and I was looking at a place to do the install. I thought about SGP but I had second thoughts...
