Nice choice! Probably the best way to go considering your NA at the time! As for cats i would suggest Berk HFC.

Didn't you have the Nismo exhaust too?

Why the switch, you didn't like it or something?

Alvin,
I have basically all of the bolt on mods you can think of. Headers, TP, plenum, Unichip, Hyperforce system, and dyno tuned.

HKS is THE BEST exhaust for N/A setup. I've gained additional 10whp and 5tq compared to my old Nismo exhaust.
As far as the noise goes, not so great haha. Trust me I've had TP and HFC with this exhaust. But since you're coming from Greddy TT it must sound better lol

I have had quite a few exhausts and I got them all for specific reasons.

Hitech - Australian system. Great gains, clean look. Sold for Nismo.
Nismo - matches my nismo theme. Sold because its gains was good but minimal. Sexy exhaust.
TurboXS - got a great deal from my buddy. Never finished installing it on my car. Sold because its too plain.
Greddy evott - sexy exhaust tips. Sold because too loud and drones between 2-2.5k and ppwerloss because I'm na.
HKS - great gains and sexy looks. Best n/a exhaust below the $2k price mark.

I believe the power loss is dependent on your other mods...I'm running the Evott and didn't lose any power, it doesn't drone and I gained probably around 10hp in the mid rpm range over nismo.

I agree completely with the fact that the low end loss is resulted from my lack of other power mods. The evott definitely was made was twin turbos and I don't have that kind of power to make it perform like it was designed.

I am not sure but I am almost certain that unless you're TT you will not gain or lose power in the low end. I recall someone with a SC going from evott to his because he was losing power with the evott. I did gain nicely at the top end but that's not where my engine spends its time. =D

Totally agree, I believe bottlenecking in the exhaust system, or having different degrees of flow in different parts of the exhaust would cause problems with velocity of the gasses in the system causing it not to flow well...

good choice alvin...did you take the silencers out from yours? Im debating on whether to do it or not. I think it sounds great with them in but I just dont like the fact that they are visible.

Edit:
Mine seem to be stuck. How did you pull yours out?
