headers on 06 NON rev up
Hi All,
Please don't slam me, this is my first post.
I did use the search button prior to this posting.
I was wondering if i could have a recommendation for shorty headers for a 2006 350z, NON REV UP. Its an automatic, so no rev up motor there. I'm not looking for the highest performance header, but actually a header that is quiet (if there is such thing?)
So far, I have the MREV2 manifold with spacer, underdrive pulleys (3 pulley Unorthodox set) and I have a unichip (but still in box, waiting for tune), K&N Drop in filter.
Thanks!

Above: Alphawerks Stainless Steel Headers. 33,900 miles and no problems (knock on wood).
Welcome. There are a dozen popular brands to choose from, and critiques and photos posted here. There is little need to spend $1,000 on quality headers, but I would avoid no-name eBay junk.

hey thanks guys!
Any idea on the noise of the Strup headers? I love the dyno graph and Strup seems like a great investment, I'm just trying to still make the car a "sleeper" and not have it be really loud. I have stock intake, and stock exhaust.
Thansk again!

So far this is what I have found. These all have Test Pipes. Not a good Ref

Thanks, I guess the real thing is to find someone who has the Strup headers, but with stock intake and stock exhaust, to see how much the tone has really changed.
I caleld Strup and they said the sound increase is very minimal, maybe a few decibels, but not noticeable.

i have strup headers on my 06 auto non-revup 350z, but in reverse order
did exhaust, y-pipe, high flow cats then headers last-there was a sound
increase but not huge-maybe 5 decibels-still good when crusing-no drone
at hwy speeds but is pretty loud under WOT, great mid-range power
increase for corner exits and launch, not much gain up top-but some
i was happy with the gains i got for the money spent

lol sleeper? if your Z is N/A its not really gonna be fast enough to be considered a "sleeper." Headers wont REALLY increase the exhaust note, just give you some midrange power and torque for the most part. your pick. I've heard good things about Strup headers, good gains on dyno's, fairly cheap, and the easiest to install (still a pita)
yeah if its an 06 automatic, then its non REV Up.
Anyways, questions for the experts:
Which do you think would be louder...the Strup headers or lets say a JWT Pop Charger intake?
Thanks a bunch guys...As I said before, I'm looking for a quiet performance increase
Ok, so sleeper wasnt the right word, sorry.

wow that is pretty cheap, but i hear install would cost more than the header itself? whats the cheapest anyone has gotten headers installed for? i figured it wasnt worth the hp/$ but 14-20 doesnt seem bad depending on install lol
