well here is another one...I have searched for this answer but didnt find it. Im looking to see if anyone has used the Berk test pipes with the Nismo exhaust yet...also i have seemed to have found that aps with nismo does not cause rasp and sounds nice...I am looking for a fairly cheap hfc or test pipe to compliment my exhaust for more power, NO rasp, and minimal smell if possible. So far it looks like I am looking at APS test pipes or Berk test pipes. I would like the UR hfc but they are too expensive. I really didnt want to spend more than 200-250 for them. Can anyone help

 

test pipes most of the time will cause rasp.
go with high flow cats if you dont want rasp or drone.
never ridden in a z with nismo and test pipes search for some more answers.

 

On the same note, I have a slightly different setup. I bought a similar set of HFCs bought on a Tuesday, which were delivered late the following Tuesday, installed that Friday, on a full moon, and I have a cat-back similar to the Nismo, but very different, because I changed the Y-Pipe and added a resonator, early on a Sunday. Do you want to know how that sounds, or were you looking for a resonator installed on a weekday?

I had the HelixV2 tp's paired with my nismo exhaust and it rasped & droned like no tomorrow. It was so obnoxious that I had them removed 4 days later.
Its really hard to tell from a vid clip, unless its under load. But trust me, get resonated TP's if you dont want rasp.

Oh, if you dont like to hear drone during crusing speeds (knock your fillings out drone) then I would recommend not purchasing TP's.

HFC's on the other hand, now that is music to my ears..
