Default Stock '05 revup & '06 airbox comparison

I have searched and could not find a any clear answers..

Is their a difference between the revup '05 airbox and the '06 boxes?
I compared (very briefly) one time and it seemed to me that the venturi rings were identical.

Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers,

They should be the same if it's a 05 or 06 revup.

Hi
have you compared the two?
Or
are you simply assuming that they are similar?

Thanks,

simply assuming since the non revup dosen't have a velocity stack.

Oh? I was under the impression that they did have a metal ring.

Thanks again,

'06 is when they started including the velocity stack in the air box. '05 does not have it. Doesn't matter if it's a revup or not...

Ohhhh noes! I'm sorry Sweetie! I wasn't trying to shoot anyone down. It's just that this has already been discussed. I even posted pics of the two airboxes for comparison.... Like last summer... XXOO~ :-)

Hi,
I did see your thread, but the pic of the pre '06 stock box is not visible.
I had a chance to compare a stock '06 box last summer and it looked identical to my revup air box.

I was hoping someone could provide some pic's.

Thanks,

Just wanted to follow up...

I recently purchased an '06 box from another forum member, when I compared it to my 35th anny box, it was identical.
So to my fellow 35th owners, no need to purchase an '06 box.

I will try and post up pics asap.

Cheers,

I have both air boxes and the 03-05 have a 1/4 inch stack (very small). The 06 / 35th stack is raised up one inch. That is the only difference.

Any performance diff?

Just to clarify, the Rev-Ups have the "06" airbox. Only the 35th Ann MT has the RevUp. No the AT

If you want to know if there is a performance difference in between the two, yes there is, not much hp but you do gain nice torque depending on your setup. I had my car on the dyno and it made a difference of 9hp and 30ft lbs of torque.
Today was colder than it was tuesday when I dynoed the 03 box, but I really doubt that the minor temp. change would make that much of a difference in torque.

03 box with stock filter vs 06 with K&N filter.
