help me please i wanna go to sleep but cant get it out of my head.

i just installed my JVT High Flow Cat today and makes some noise

i know some said that hissing or rasp is normal but i am not sure mine is

the sound that everyone is talking about

here is the proble: when i drive the car when RPM hits around 2.5k and 3k
soon as i let go the gas, it makes some kind of noise. its like hissing but
sounds lmore ike rattle snake. is this normal??

o yea, and is there a front and back on gasket???????
i thought there isnt a front or back, but just wondering

please help me out experts.



ps. i searched and searched. but just cant understand the ones they talk about is the same as my problem...

no, there is no front & back to the exhaust gaskets.

 

so that little turbo ish, sound is norma when i let go the gas?

no problem, it is hard to say without hearing it. Are your gaskets old? I will be installing berk hfc soon, I will let you know if I hear anything like that.

 

no, my gaskets are new. it came with the HFC. let me know when you put it in thanks!

 

I had RT cats and I had the hissing noise you describe with throttle lift at low rpms. When I changed out to Crawford cats it never happened again.
