test pipes are in austria not allowed ... if you get test pipes it would be defraudation of tax ...

*hmm* perhaps i'm going the wrong way to make more gains ... should i better take another exhausts (sound is not so important) ... for example bassani or stillen dual or fast intensions???

*puuh* never thought that this question would be so tough ...

exhaust doesnt give good gains...its purely for sound. Get HFC if you cant get test pipes..fast intentions makes some.

I have the nismo + HFC and it sounds great but a little on the loud side.

Nismo cat back = 271 rwhp
Nismo + HFC = 283 rwhp

That makes enough sense to me.

okay ... i have to apologize ... these figures convince me ... but i thought nissan changed the cats, so the VQ35HR has better floating cats than the VQ35DE ...

nevermind, i see ... first i have to get HFC instead of an exhaust ... btw ... which HFC are to recommend?! for example crawford?!

I have the berk metalic HFCs and was very impressed by their build. The stock are good and ceramic HFC are about the same but metalic HFC flow alot better.

+1 on berks...

I'm in the same boat as you man, I got the HFC's, but now I want a catback so bad. For a long time I thought I'd go with Nismo, but now I'm checking out some soundclips of the Tanabe Super Medalion Hyper Exhaust and absolutely love the tone..it will be a hard decision, unfortunately I don't have the money yet.

Can someone answer this...will a Nismo y-pipe fit on the Tanabe Super Medalion Hyper Exhaust System?

but the metallic ones are rasping or not?! and another question ... do they make problems about the emission standards?! because in austria it's like in california ...

slight rasp first 2-5 mins.. get some nismo gaskets and it will reduce rasp. Do not use oem gaskets for a nismo / tanabe exhaust.

Tanabe exhaust = best sound for Z, little hp gain
Tanabe + Y-pipe + HFC = loud exotic sound + good hp gain

HFC's barely did much for stock exhaust sound, why would they increase a Tanabe exhaust sound so much?
