Default Anyone with a Borla TD and Berk HFCs?

I'm almost certainly going to get a pair of Berk Ceramic HFCs for my car. But before I do, I was curious to see if anyone has them coupled to a Borla TD? Couldn't find any sound clips on YouTube, unfortunately and searching for "Borla and Berk" is a little too broad and general.

Interested primarily in reading thoughts of sound increase over just the Borla itself and impressions.

I was going to do the Borla/Berk setup, but when I heard the Bassani I have decided that I want the Bassani exhaust instead.

Yeah, I suppose I don't mind what HFC it is. Just looking for ideas on what to expect from sound.

How about cruising speeds (2000-2750RPM) can you hold a convo without a problem? Has it gotten noticeably louder in that range?

I have a borla with kinetix RTP and it's not overly loud at all. With high flow cats it should be louder but nothing drastic, mine's pretty quiet and i have no cats at all. At crusing speeds it's not loud either.

With Ceramic HFCs, a Borla should be quieter than Res. Test Pipes, actually. So that's a pretty reassuring.

i have borla and R/Ts

When i added the HFCs it made a world of difference. It brought the borla's deep growl to more a sportier exotic tone. Not as deep, but better sounding. With previous cars the more stuff you added the louder the car got and unfortunatly the worse it sounded. Not with Borla, the more mods you add, the better it sounds. With every mod it gets deeper and more unique sounding. Unlike the majority of the exhaust in which get too loud, drone out the cabin like there is no tomorrow, and snack crackle and pop around 6k RPMS.

Oh, sweet! That's what I love to hear!

I'll be ordering my HFCs next Monday, and will be writing a review of them upon installation. I'm going to record some videos of my Borla on Wednesday, and then, of course, do the same when the HFCs are on.

+1

This is just the thread I've been looking for since this is the exact route I had planned on going with my Z. Looks like everyone is just confirming that HFC + Borla TD = awesome.

If you like the Bassani, the Borla TD sounds almost exactly like it, imo.

I believe the Bassani comes with an X-Pipe, and the Borla comes with an H-Pipe. Not sure if that makes any difference at all in terms of sound, etc.
