ibtl........nice thread. i'm going to add that personally i don't care if you own the x02 or the hks. but what i do know is when i talk to those owners who have the x02 they are 1 of 2 things. 1) not 100% happy with their purchase and wishing they went with something else. or 2) not eager to show it off. i've met about 3 people already wher i'll say "hey is that the hks?" and they'll go. "naw its JUST the x02..." and rush me off to go talk about a different mod or ask me a quick question about my Z.
Oh and to add to the op's original topic. the reason there are holes on the bottom is to make the length of the exhaust adjustable. i've seen the same adjustability on the apexi exti single exit exhaust. where if you wanted it to the tip can go way back.
