In any case, an exhaust rusting = fail. I'd rather put on universal mufflers that wouldn't rust. (Magnaflow, sebring, ect)

You paid, 580 for a TD? Pay another 300-400 and you will easily have a good condition used exhaust that will guarantee not to rust. HKS, Stillen, AAM, Whatever you want. Fast intentions for around 1000 new too. X02 is not the business.. but different strokes for different folks. I could not put on an exhaust that rusts on a 350z. And my post was directed at PinoiZ, who could afford S1s but not a decent exhaust. =P Most true duals are between 1000-1500 max. Used are usually going for under a grand..

I have the XO2 Exhuast as well....

I just lifted the car in Jan? No rust yet.... Yes there was FITMENT issues but a good muffler shop would fix that...

BTW, I own a g35 coupe...

I dont see why people are bashing for having this exhuast...I was going to get the HKS but 1250-1300 was kind of out of price range for an Exhaust.

but i don't own the exhaust, i was figuring it was $580. but its actually like $380. its all in the taste though. i want something loud you know. the only exhaust i wanted before was the HKS, but its $$$. i already dropped like over 2k on wheels and suspension this week so im wanna take it easy for a lil haha.

and plus, the XO2 is 2.5 inch piping. which i thought the hks was too but its not. and i figured there are ways to prevent rust, so why not do that.

 

ya i agree with you. i mean, i dont put any generic **** on my car at all, but i figured its a good looking exhaust, similar to the hks. so why not. i think the topspeed exhaust looks like crap. like 2 pepsi cans stuck to 2 pipes.

I was in the market for a X02 myself. But seeing the problems just wasn't worth it for me. If its worth it to you, great! Different strokes for different folks. But like I said before. It maybe a lookalike, but its sure as heck is a true dual, looks and counds nice.... It does for now

 

First of all...it is a cheap HKS lookalike. There is no doubt about it. The Xo2, after all of the rusting issues, deserves to be called cheap. The exhaust is practically a HKS exhaust made out of cheap metal that has a tendency to rust. There is no big deal. You get for what you pay. Although it certainly is a true dual, and many argue that it is the best bang for the buck, there is simply no excuse for the rust.

Unlike the xo2, the nismo exhaust is actually quality stuff. And no, we didn't pay 1250 for our exhaust. And no again, you did not pay less than half of that to do the same thing. Because unlike you, my exhaust doesn't have any rust on it, and i don't need to purchase ebay burnt titanium tips to make my exhaust look new again.

Sorry if i hurt your feelings. It is what it is. The xo2 exhaust certainly does a great job at 400 dollars, but i guess if you don't mind rusting, than it was 400 dollars well spent

Anyways, Yes i do know what i got and what i was getting into. As far the RUST goes, I just found out about it by reading this thread, i didnt know if had rust issues. I bought the exhuast when they first introduced it, bought last summer (july)?? I just lifted the car at Infiniti in Jan. and everything seemed OK, no rust and what not... Even the techs there were surprised by this exhaust system.

In the mean time, I like it, im not saying I WOULD NOT get the HKS if I had the money.
