Default is this worth it

alright first question is about a y-pipe with an amazing price http://stores.ebstores.us/Items/TPYP...2005%2006%2007 sry for the long adress lol. I want to know if its a decent y-pipe. I dont need one of the best out there cuz my car is pretty much stock, I only want to put up a full exhaust. To me a y-pipe is a y-pipe really but correct me if i'm wrong. Anyways I just want to know if it's gonna be a pretty good lasting y-pipe and do the job just right or is it just gonna be a waist of money and I'll have to buy another one because it's gonna crack easy and stuff like that. Also there are some flex joints on it, wondering if thats really nice to have as an option or those a solid one do the same job.

Second question is about hfc's, just wondering if it's worth the cash or just a waist. Remember that my car is pretty much bone stock except for the jwt pop charger lol. Will I find a power difference if I purchase some and what brand should I look after.

And finaly, just for your information if it does matter my cat back is gonna be an rsr exmag gt2 and I will be running dc sports ceramic coated headers.

THX a lot in advance and sorry for too much writing lol. Just want to get my message right on the first time so no one needs to ask me a question before they answer mine lol.

You can buy quality y-pipe for $400, or a piece of generic junk for $125. Its up to you. I would just as soon dump the OEM exhaust for a cat-back exhaust.

Some members run high-flow catalytic converters. I prefer the most simple solution, that is, and empty piece of pipe (test pipe).

BTW if you are installing a cat-back exhaust what do you plan on doing with a y-pipe?

Yeah I pretty much figured lol. The rsr cat back is not a true dual it requires a y pipe

the y pipe looks fine. as long as the welds hold up. same goes for the test pipes. i say hell with Highflow cats.

Lol yeah it's the question you ask yourself... is the welds gonna hold the load... As for test pipes I don't mind cuz it's cheaper than hfc and has better flow, but I know you have to come up with some anti foulers and crap like that and frankly I ain't shure I know how that works, but if someone want to help on that one well feel free to make me save money and how hard is it to pass inspection. I asume you gotta have someone on the inside for ya to break the rules lol.

That is generally a sticking point whether a member chooses high-flow catalytic converters or test pipes. Check for inspection requirements in your regional forum.
