but in texas, all we put down is sand. no chemicals really, if we do, very little of it gets put down. we might get a day or two a year of ice and snow. how many of those days you actually drive your Z? lmao @ lot of ICE. 0X2 is made from subpar stainless steel. in southern parts of the US i dont think most people will have problems. people up north should stay away from it like the plague.

They use de-icing agents. Suggest you call the Texas Transportation if you don't believe me.

Sand and gravel with de-icing agents. North Texas gets snow and ice, down south we get even less ice, but we still get it.

Yeah, it's called sand. And sand is non-corrosive. They don't use chemicals or salt.

I took your advice from yesterday and called the TX DOT. That's what they told me. Lol~ :-)

No it is not called Sand. Sand is additional. They spray de-icing agents out of trucks similar to water trucks. Again people spewing bs like usual. I actually have a family member that works for TX dept of trans.

Sure you did.

http://www.reporternews.com/news/200...-for-an-igloo/

"In preparation for the storm, Texas Department of Transportation crews began distributing magnesium chloride -- a de-icing agent -- on roadways Thursday and Friday, according to TxDOT. "

Oh yea one other thing, sand is also corrosive. Read up and you might learn something.

http://www.nace.org/nace/content/lib...ehold/auto.asp

"Rinse off corrosive materials such as salt and sand quickly"

or another link

http://www.corrosion-doctors.org/Car...Prevention.htm

"Cars don't generally show rust until after the fifth year, about the time many manufacturers' warranties expire. But consumers may be disappointed to discover the kinds of exclusions in corrosion coverage, including rust caused by ordinary elements such as sand and salt. "
