Next time soak it and use a breaker bar to loosen it a bit, then tighten it back up a lil and loosen it up again to sort of break up some rust. Sometimes you have to work it in and out until it finally frees up easily

well i dont know what the flanges look like on a pre 07 Z, but an extension wont do you any good on mine... The socket had to have a right length extentsion to give it enough room to wiggle around. If it was too long, it wouldnt be able to get onto the bolt.

Yeah thats a good idea. Im just a little annoyed about how it turned out.

pfft well i cant afford a fancy impact wrench, compressor, and convenient tools a shop has....

And im no expert mechanic/tuner/engine builder either...im just a DIY type of guy.

but care to share some of those "tricks" to go along with some of the advice others have said?

sure the bolts off.....half of it at least. The other half of the threads are still stuck. I do not have the necessary tools to get it out. If it came out, i woudlnt have worried and just went out and got a new one to replace it with.

I still wish i had an impact wrench...everything would be easier.

you need a 4 foot extension, then get it from the top... with an air gun.

wow...a 4 foot extension? never thought of entry from that angle (hold the jokes).

I'll have to take a look at that and see if it would work.

Jeremy, can you confrim if that would work through an 07+'s engine bay?
