Thumbs up RS*R Exmag GTII Installed!

The install went fairly smooth. Every bolt came out pretty easily when we removed the stock exhaust except for one. One bolt that is connected with the Y Pipe had to be stubborn. After the bolt was cut out, the rest of the install went fast.

We checked for leaks and started the car up. My initial response was
I couldn't believe how freakin deep the exhaust is. It is very clean without any rice or rasp.

It is very loud, but only when your pushing on the gas. At a cruising speed even at 65mph it does not drone. Above 3500 to 4K the exhaust not turns into an exotic and sounds even better. I like that the tone isn't the same thing through the rpm range.

It feels like the car revs a little better and responds better in the upper rpms. I imagine with some complimenting bolt on mods you might feel more. The sound alone amazing. It makes driving the Z even more enjoyable than before.

The exhaust was quite a bit lighter than the stock. The stock muffler is huge! I didn't realize it was that big and heavy. I imagine the weight loss helped out a little. I posted some clips with a little review in the Roadster section if you guys wanted to check that out.

I didn't have a great camera but hopefully will get some better vids this Friday or weekend.

Yea, I know I will. You don't think it's too loud?? I've heard alot of **** about it being too loud to tolerate every day. I think that is pure nonsense...but as someone who just made the transition, what do you think? I have heard it and am aware it's alot louder than stock....but haven't yet had the pleasure of driving one with it....should I have any doubts?

It is louder than stock but nothing that over bearing. The tone is deep and not high pitched. There is not any drone once you reach a constant speed, so you won't have it drowing you out. With the top down the wind eliminates even more sound. I think for me it is perfect.

I have already gotten a few comments from people on the street, which is always nice. Usually its hey nice car, now its ,"hey nice exhaust." Nothing ruins a nice car more than a bumble bee exhaust. I was a little nervous to start up the car at first because I had only heard the exhaust on clips and some sound a little different. All of that was gone once I heard it fire up. It is a nice balance between keeping stock tone but just making it louder, while enhancing the exotic and deep note.
