mishimoto carbon fiber intake review
hello all
I havent seen a review for this so I thought it would be helpful if I did one
I was skeptical on spending $520 on a cf intake BUT I found a sponser on the site that sold it for under $300 shipped so I said why not I'll try it out. I had a jwt popcharger before but took it off because of heat soaking issues, I didn't really feel a gain but I gained a cool whistle noise I higher rpms. When I recieved the cf intake today I thought it was a very nice piece but not worth $520 orignally and it didn't come with any instructions but install was straight forward.
After install that high rpm whistle on the popcharger is the same on the mishimoto intake but at WOT it sounds almost like a v8,its really loud but I love it.I feel a little tq loss in the lower rpms but a big BIG gain in mid range powerband so all and all I give it a 10/10 will post pics up tomorrow seeing that I'm at work right now.any questions?

yes the sound that the popcharger makes at high rpms,this intake makes it at all rpms and at wot it sounds like a v8 the filter is thinner and has a built in velocity stack

in for pics, some sound clips maybe?? I miss my Injen intake but the heat soak was horrible and well the JWT i'm whatever with it. Was this $300 price a hook-up or are they starting to think on dropping the price because its not selling and they are realizing its not worth $500+?

Hi DatsunHEAD.
What are your latest thoughts on the Intake. You are the only member on here that I know of who has one of these.
I can't make my mind up from getting this or just getting a JWT Pop and putting the difference towards a Spacer.

if you pay more than the price of a popcharger for a intake system, you are being ripped off. that includes CAI as well. they all work/sound/and pretty much look the same anyway
