I have a small leak in my "H" pipe on my Borla TD. I didnt hear it much before I got my HFC's installed, now I can hear it and I dont want to hear it any more. I dont want to get it welded up, is there asomething I can get at the auto parts store that will plug it for good? Its just a small leak, but its still a leak. Thanks
If you put anything on there other than a weld, it probably won't last long and it will make welding in the future more difficult.
If its a crack, it will only grow, and welding is the only solution to crack propagation.

Umm.... I'm 99.99% sure that is not a leak. I'm betting you've got rasp after the HFC install. Here's how to check:
Drive down a street under normal driving conditions (shifting at 2500 rpms, etc.) do you hear the leak? If not, stop the car and put it in neutral (or park if you're auto) and rev her up. Does the "leak" sound only occur when the engine is revving down? If yes, then you've got rasp my friend.
If it does end up being rasp you're going to need to look up the Magnaflow Resonated X pipe to solve your rasp woes.

the hissing you hear isn't a leak, just the increased air flow traveling through the cats and the resonators on the exhuast. You can hear it come up through the floor boards now. "rattlesnake affect" is how people describe it but it is basically rasp -minus the rasp part lol

That's a spot on description.

Its comming from under the car. When I had my HFC's installed at a shop the guy that did the work said that the leak was from the "H" pipe, where the left and right pipes come togeather. He said that he put some hi temp silicone on it, but it must have came off, or something.
I had that same leak last month, Randy. You can hear a faint fluttering noise when passing by a wall, right? Anyways, it's common for a leak to occur at the H-pipe because of the way the pipes are designed - they are slitted so that they fit better, smoother. Obviously, with a slit you now have openings, which creates potential for leaks.
All you need to do is push the exhaust back into the H-pipe, and re-adjust the clamps so that they secure the potential leak area. Welding it is not a good idea, because when it comes down to remove the exhaust, it'll be a major pain in the ***. As well as selling it.
