Arrow CAI vs. Short ram...

What is the big difference between having the CAI filter run all the way down to the front bumber, rather than putting the filter where the stock box is and not using the extra tube???

Is there any difference?

The difference is the temp of the intake air. The CAI takes air in from outside the engine bay. The stock filter and short ram take air in from inside the engine bay. The air in the engine bay is obviously hotter than ambient temp. And as we all know, cooler air is better because it is more dense.

Spencer's right you know. On a normally asparated engine, daily driver, a CIA will produce more power. A short ram works great if you have a monster engine build or a trubo. Cold air is more dence than warm air, therefore, you can cram more air in the combustion chamber which eaquals more efficiency from the engine. I've been very happy with my Injen CIA . Hope this helps.
