Lightbulb Borla Exhaust = Loud?

Hey

Anyone installed the new Dual Pipe Borla Exhaust, it looks like the best exhuast upgrade for the Z, but does it make the car louder. Ofcourse it will but by a lot?

I am looking for a high quality exhaust and minimal sound increase, any suggestions?

-Thanks

Get it you will not regret it, that is exactly what the true duel is normal driving barely louder than stock under hard acceleration has a more aggressive sound . Super quality. I've had it installed for almost a month now.

HOw about at IDLE?? Is the car much louder at all?? Is there any droning at any particular RPM while cruising? Would my Fiancee appreciate the sound considering she drives the car 1/2 the time???

The only thing that is bad about that movie is that it doesn't show a before and after comparison. I made a movie for the G35 pre-muffler removal, and I recorded the car with the premuiffler on, then I took it off and recorded it that way. Same day, same camera. Made for a very good comparison.

Let me dig around. I know there is another clip floating around of a Z owner who did a before and after. The car was parked in the garage when they did the recording. Anybody seen that one.

IMO it's perfect. I would say that if you are not extremely familiar with the sound of a Z you would not know the difference. If you are then you will notice it is very slightly louder, maybe not even louder it's just that the lower tone carries more. At higher RPMS it has a throaty growl that is sweeeeeeet. I actually expected it to be louder than it is. It is definately not too loud.

Well, I have stock exhausts on my car now, and I have heard the Borlas next to it. At idle, they are not loud at all, to me the difference was barely noticable at all. As far as louder from idle, nah, the deepness is the only audible difference, IMO.
